L’evento che non era riuscito nel 2004 (vedi)
avrà luogo nel 2005, e dopo mesi di corteggiamenti possiamo finalmente dare l’annuncio ufficiale: il mitico gruppo americano dei «Blue Devils» nel 2005 sarà davvero in Europa!
La partenza da San Francisco, California, è prevista per sabato 18 giugno, per un tour che toccherà 4 nazioni e che vedrà il gruppo protagonista oltre al nostro festival «Quando la banda passò...» anche al campionato italiano organizzato da Italia Marching Show Band ed altre importantissime manifestazioni in Francia, Belgio ed Olanda. La notizia ha fatto rapidamente il giro del mondo sui siti web specializzati, ed anche in Italia ha subito elettrizzato l’ambiente delle marching & show band. Per «Roncaglia’s Marching Band» sarà un’occasione molto importante: avremo infatti l’opportunità di esibirci accanto a loro non solo a San Felice sul Panaro, ma anche al campionato italiano di Lecco ed al World Music Contest di Kerkrade (Olanda).

BLUE DEVILS IN EUROPE 2005
Continuing their fine tradition of international travel, The Blue Devils are proud to announce a return to Europe in the summer of 2005: 8 cities and 4 countries in 25 days from June 19 - July 13.
Week 1: Sponsored by Drum Corps Europe and Vlamo (a Belgium music association) -
Performances in La Gorgue and Calais, France; Kortrijk, Belgium (a D.C.Europe event)
Week 2: Sponsored by Italian Marching Show Bands and Roncaglia's Marching Band, Modena, Italy - Performances in Lecco, Italian Marching Show Bands Champioship and Modena, Italy
Week 3: Sponsored by the World Music Contest Kerkrade Foundation - Featured performers at the World Music Contest - Open rehearsals and clinics
2005 will be a GRAND EXPERIENCE. The Blue Devils will open the 2005 season with their home show, Precision West, on Saturday June 18th. The next day the corps embarks from San Francisco, on a three-week tour of Europe. Upon arrival in Amsterdam, The Blue Devils will transfer to La Gorgue, France to prepare for their first performance in the town of Kortrijk at Saturday June 25th.
Then it's on to "The City of Lights"...Paris were we will stay for two days. After their time in Paris, The Blue Devils will continue their journey to the Northern Italy (Milan, Venice, MODENA and Lecco) for six days of performances and particapating at the Italian Marching Band Championships.
The culmination of the tour will be an opportunity to compete in a truly unique event. Every 4 years Kerkrade, Holland is the site for the World Music Contest. The Blue Devils will compete at the World Music Contest on Sunday, July 10th.
